St. Albert the Great's Feast Day -- November 15th
We are a welcoming Catholic community called by God to live out the message of Christ in love and service to all people. Our parish mission as a community of faith is:
We the people of St. Albert the Great parish are called to know, love and serve God through prayer, service, living the Gospel and celebrating the Eucharist.
Catholic Church teaches the sacrament of the Eucharist is the Real Presence of Jesus Christ. The Blessed Sacrament is when the bread and wine truly become the body, blood soul and divinity of Jesus Christ. The process by which this happens is called transubstantiation. The Eucharist is not a symbol of Jesus. It is Jesus. This is a central teaching of the Catholic Church, and many no longer believe! A recent Pew Research Center survey reported that approximately 70% of Catholics DO NOT believe what the Church teaches regarding the Blessed Sacrament. In this video, Catholic Speaker Ken Yasinski talks about the Real Presence and goes over 4 ways to prepare our hearts before receiving the Eucharist.
